Household cleaning products
I like the clean house (with children it is not possible, at least for me), but I don’t like cleaning, really don’t. Cleaning the whole house once a week thoroughly and keeping it clean during the week just doesn’t work for me. I don’t know how my children manage to turn the whole house within 10 minutes into a mess, again. Toys laying everywhere, and the things under the table are boaah. Especially my little one is a big chaos. He needs two movements and the whole living room and kitchen are covered with toys. He is offended, as he steps on a piece of Duplo, a toycar or falls over or there is no space to play.
The writing desk of my big son, not worth mentioning. I clean it, respecting all kinds of Lego, papers, broken toys (he repairs and glues them) pieces (he definitely needs it two weeks later) and after 10 minutes, what?? How could you do that? I wasn’t better as a child and during university. But I did know back then, what under the sixth paper is and where I find what I am looking for. But with them? I always have to dig out the things they don’t find. That’s just how it is.
For years I used a vinegar based cleaner of the same brand. I was happy with it, just the plastic packaging… This vinegar cleaner was good for the kitchen, bathroom, toilet, wipe the floor, etc. Now I don’t want to buy some cleaner, so I’ve decided to make it myself. I have found some recipes with dish liquid, vinegar, citric acid combo etc. I mixed it, tried it, not happy about the result. It was really strange.
Since then I clean the bathtub, washbowl, kitchen sink with baking soda, followed by washing soda, citric acid, curd soap, alcohol and water mixture. Water taps are cleaned either with self-made lemon-vinegar cleaner or citric acid and water mixture. The result is really good. Bathtub, washbowl, kitchen sink is white, water taps are shiny.
Wipe up? I do it with lemon-vinegar cleaner and a little bit lavender essential oil or washing soda and water combo with some essential oil.
Window cleaning? I hate window cleaning, really. They get dirty in no time. And the smell of those window cleaners, I don’t like it. Somehow too much, especially as children spray too much of it. Instead, I wash the windows first with soap and water, then with vinegar and water combo.
